Murdero is the murder mystery themed card game of case building and crime solving.

One pack allows up to four players to compete individually or in teams scoring points until a winner is declared.

Each 60 card deck contains the following cards:

15 actions (these change the rules of the game to hinder opponents or aid you)
15 crime scenes (the starting card for any case)
12 victims (the unfortunate victims)
9 evidence (evidence to tie things together)
6 suspects (whodunit!)
3 murder weapons (the final piece of the puzzle)

After you've mastered Murdero with a single deck, why not try making your own Murdero variants by purchasing additional decks and picking your own 60! Head over to the Create Your Own section to get you started…

RULES FAQ
Not covered here? Ask rules@murdero.com if you're having a rules dispute!

Q. What happens if we run out of cards in the case file?
A. Nobody has solved a case so nobody scores double! Still add up the points you have in play and deduct the ones in your hand as usual. If nobody has made 100 points play the next hand!

Q. I have "Real Estate" in play and complete a set. Do I count crime scenes as 4 and then double them for winning, or just 4 with no double for winning?
A. They each count as 8 (4, doubled for completing a case and winning)

Q. I have "Mitigating Circs" in play and use it's action to remove the last case card I have. What happens to it?
A. With no case cards left in play you have no cases. You can only have one permanent action card per case so when you use "Mitigating Circs" action on your last case card you must remove it from play.

Q. I have "Heavy Caseload" in play with one case numbered 1-4. If I play the "Joker" as the weapon card (5) can I choose to remove "Heavy Caseload" and win?
A. Yes. But if another player has already completed a case you both 'win' simultaneously and both score double, as removing "Heavy Caseload" makes you both winners!

Q. Can I use "Joker" to start a case?
A. Yes, but only if you already have a case in play, as "Joker" is a permanent action card. If you have one case and one permanent action card already in play you can still play "Joker" but you'll need to remove the permanent action card that's already in play.

Q. Does playing "Joker" count as my Take Action turn?
A. Yes.

Q. I play "Overtime" but get stuck with 11 cards at the end of my turn. I know I have to discard 3 cards, does it matter what order I do it in?
A. No. All 3 cards that you discard are placed on the discard pile. BUT strategically the last card you discard should be the least useful to the player next to you (as they can pick it up on their turn!)

Q. When a card is 'removed' from the game or from play, does it go into the discard pile?
A. No. Cards 'removed' from the game or play should be placed elsewhere. The easiest thing to do is place them on the other side of the Case File (opposite the discard pile) face down. That way nobody will be able to use them until they are shuffled back into the deck for the next hand.

Q. Can I score negative points?
A. Yes. If you have more points in your hand than you have in play at the end of the game, you will score negative points for that hand. You may also have a negative total score e.g. -25!

Q. Can I choose to replace a Permanent Action when I play another even if I don't need to?
A. No. You may only replace your exisiting Permanent Action cards with another if you have reached your maximum limit (1 Permanent Action card for each case colour you are building)

Q. Can I play another location card(1) on a case if it has victim cards(2)?
A. Yes. You can keep adding lower numbered cards to your cases even if you've built the case up to a higher number e.g. if you have 1,2,3,4 in play you can still add 1s, 2s, 3s (and 4s or a 5!)
